第一、二片：保育野生動物
人類留給野生動物多少空間呢？為了回答這個問題，主持人亞祖‧貝彤率隊前往南非，此地保護生物的多樣性成績斐然。每天都有許多人致力於保護野生動物，他們的作為啟發了我們，人與動物確有可能和平共存。更重要的是，與野生動物同生共處，才有可能實踐人道主義的博愛精神。

第三、四片：保護森林
我們所呼吸的氧氣，仰賴眾多植物所排放提供。森林也是全世界最大的醫學藥典，許多日常用藥的原始成份，皆源自廣大的森林。森林提供木材讓我們製作家具和修築房屋，還能調節雨量和河流的流量。森林保護海岸不受天然災害侵襲，具有防止地球暖化等重要功能，堪稱是大自然賜予人類的無價之寶。

第五、六片：餵飽六十億人
本集震撼人心的紀錄片，主持人亞祖‧貝彤邀約我們走訪法國和世界其他地區，深入了解某些農人為何挺身而出，對抗往下逆轉的現代農業，以及生產主義衍生的問題（如農藥、基改作物等）。我們身為消費者，倘若為了自身健康和環境永續發展而改變消費行為，我們也就能改變現狀。

第七、八片：大河永存
河流是地球的動脈，但地球的動脈目前面臨危險。有些河流接近乾涸，而且不再流入海洋，有些河流被水壩截斷。另外有許多河流遭到汙染，導致地球生病。我們同心協力探究原因，我們同心協力也就能匡正流弊。
